British Style Collective – Highlights

Just over a week ago, our fabulous vibrant city welcomed the best most scouse appropriate event EVER. British Style Collective (the artist formerly known as The Clothes Show) rocked up to the yellow sub lovin’ Mersey Coast for a 3 day celebration of all things fashion!

We were spoilt rotten, with celeb talks, catwalks, shopping and demonstrations galore! Even our fab local bloggers had special places in the hot seat giving their invaluable opinions on all things fabulous from social media to styling. YOU’RE DOING AMAZING SWEETIE.

Heres a round up of what I loved!

Expert Stage talks with Andrew Collinge discussing the phenomenal achievements of his training school and employees. Amanda Bell (Pixi Beauty) on all things beauty, this years must have skincare includes rose – the Pixi rose skin treats smell AMAZE.

Interior GOALS with Nair and Spectrum in the shopping halls. Absolutely unreal selection of shops on display in the shopping halls, for me these two brands really nailed bringing their personal brand aesthetic to Liverpool.

Andrew Collinge and Carolyn Newman talking all things hair with Antonia O’Brien. Jo Elvin, Caryn Franklin, Lisa Snowden and Jules Von Hep talking signature style and feel good fashion.

Henry Holland discussing his House of Holland brand growth, and how we should all embrace our individuality and be our true authentic selves in fashion and life. Kimberley Walsh on growing up in the spotlight and finally nailing how to dress to flatter her body shape.

Mollie King on embracing the colour yellow, being a sweetheart in the Saturdays and finding her own fashion feet in the showbiz world.

The Philip Armstrong catwalk show, debuting luxe velvet fabrics in a range of gem stone shades for A/W 17. Gary McQueen exhibition of his new scarf range and artwork, inspired by late uncle Lee McQueen and the life cycle “Life – Death – Rebirth”.

This was the absolute highlight of the three days for me. The hour long fashion show in the Echo Arena was an eclectic mix of fashion, dance, drama and music. A mish mash of 8 trends showcased over one seamless hour of fun!

          The Trends:

  • The Arrivals
  • Hot Pink
  • Vintage Circus
  • Pop Chic
  • Judgement Day
  • Alcatel Beach
  • Swing Dreams
  • Pretty Punk
