Period having people of the world unite! This post is for you, if you’re not a period having person I suggest you stop scrolling right now (unless that is if you have tonnes of money and a period fetish HMU I’ll make an only fans x). Here is an Eco Friendly Non Toxic Reusable Sanitary Pads Review.
I want to protect my vaj and also stop killing the turtles, so trying these freaky deaky lady products out was a no brainer. I totally appreciate that it seems very very gross to have reusable sanitary towels and in an ideal world we’d all be given a moon cup and lifetime supply of organic biodegradable tampons the day we turn 10, but the planet isn’t there yet, and tampons and insertable protection isn’t for everyone.
As well as being good for the environment and not containing chemicals harmful to our health, these are really purse friendly. At £15.99 for 7, thats £2.28 per pad, you would pay about that per month if not more depending on your flow and where you shop for regular sanitary protection. So say you spent £5 a month on sanitary protection, that’s £120 over 2 years, “with proper care, these can last up to 2/3 years”. A grand saving of £104.01 every 2 years, thank you.
So I’m doing you a solid and I’ve put these bad boys to the test for the lols and for the turtles.

First of all, we have to address the elephant in the room. Why would I want to garnish my knickers with some fabric that wouldn’t look out of place in both a nursery and a 70’s crack den? Yes the print is a bit much or a lot much, but when you’re having a period you’re not really wearing clothes even remotely see through, so when you do wear one it’s totally fine. Still strange though.

So, you can hand wash and air dry these, they’re also suitable to wash in the machine. I tried both ways, and actually I was able to hand wash these really easily until everything came out. They dried overnight just in the air, and yes I smelt them just in case and all they smelled of was soap, very handy if you’re not prepared to put a wash on just for a pad, we’re being eco after all!

Absorbability level HIGH. You know sometimes as a woman, if you overflow a little when Aunt Flo comes to chill (AKA cause murder), wearing a regular pad you can end up looking like a scene from a horror movie? Not with these bad bitches, they’re SO absorbent and absolutely no leaking whatsoever even during a heavy flow. I used between 4/5 a day on the heavier days, so I didn’t “run out” of clean ones at all. I was able to wash and dry as I went so there was always a clean one on rotation for me.

They’re not bulky at all in your pants, but I do think they’d fit a bigger pair of knickers better than my size, they’re quite wide. The pop button is really easy to use and very secure so it’s not going to fall off. They come with a handy little bag to put a used one in when you’re out and about, if you follow the folding directions you can wrap the pad into itself so the clean side is on the outside, just store it in the bag until you’re ready to wash, and there’ll be no mess. Surprisingly, not what I expected these are literally the most sanitary of sanitary towels, 8/10!
