A very strange, unexpected side effect of eating plant based, is getting a hell of a lot longer between washes of my wig! It has never been overly oily, but definitely by day two it needed a spritz of Batiste or a style to disguise the lack of freshness. Sometimes, I do still need a hair refresh, I’m going to review Corinne Taylor, vegan, cruelty free, organic, natural, clean, non toxic dry shampoo.

So, even though I’m getting longer between washes, it just nice to feel freshened up a little. As I am phasing out toxic products from my life, using Batiste or other similar dry shampoos is not an option. Considering that they always gave me a dirty hair headache, I should have replaced my dry shampoo many moons ago, but after reading a blog about the dangers, I can’t believe they’re allowed on the shelves of stores to be quite honest.
I can’t remember why I picked this particular product, to try as my first all natural dry shampoo. I just searched through Amazon, there’s so many brands on there offering the same thing, but this one appealed to me most more than the others.

This stuff smells DIVINE – like a spa, real luxurious natural goodness, that just makes me feel pampered. I really like the fact, the fragrance lingers on my hair, but doesn’t give me a headache like synthetic fragrances do. It isn’t over powering or unpleasant in any way.
When it came (I mean I should have noticed from the pictures and description and thought ahead), it’s powder in a tub, so I was quite unsure how to use it, daft I know. Anyway I would sprinkle it direct to my head and try to rub it in a bit, but it was looking a bit powdery and talcy.
With trial and error, I found the best way to use it is, in advance of needing to use it (so of a night), apply with a makeup powder brush, don’t work it in and sleep on it. The next day I can do the same, if necessary, then detangle my hair with a wide tooth comb and blast it with a hair dryer to remove any excess powder.
It definitely is super soft in my hair, theres no icky texture or residue like with traditional dry shampoos. I really love the way it volumises my hair without being a stiff and sticky mess, so I’ll use it on clean hair for a bit of a lift too.
My only critiques would be, if you’re not careful, it can easily be wasted by tipping a touch too much out the tub. Also, if you use too much, it can be hard to distribute without making hair look ashy. It would probably always be great on blonde hair as it’s light in colour, it would blend better than on darker hair. But, considering it isn’t stuffed full of carcinogens, other harmful chemicals, is clean, vegan and cruelty free, I would 100% repurchase.
