I’ve never been particularly whiffy myself, and now so even less than before since going plant based. There’s a tonne of evidence out there how herbivores just smell better, I’ll take that ;-). That is true, but really how much of a panicked mess do you feel leaving the house without deodorant? I can’t sacrifice it, but also I can’t keep spraying carcinogens into my pores – there is clear evidence that some deodorants can contain cancer causing chemicals, and our armpits are very porous sensitive areas. Here we have, Three Clean Non Toxic Affordable Deodorants – Lush, Jasons and Salt of the Earth Review

Let’s compare side by side three natural alternatives – I’ll look at price, smell, ease of use, does it mark your clothes and most importantly, how will your pits smell after a busy day
Lush Aromaco Solid Deodorant Review
It’s £6.50 for 100g, so seems quite steep, but honestly this stuff lasts – probably because it’s rock hard and just drags against the skin. It is pretty odourless, didn’t leave any marks on my clothes, worked on some days, but for warmer or more active days it really didn’t. The design is quite impractical too, it isn’t very portable as you need to wrap it up to make sure it doesn’t pick up any bits. It won’t be my go to but it certainly isn’t the worst I have tried.

Jason Natural Calming Lavender Deodorant Review
£4.99 isn’t a bad price, I mean I know you can get any other deodorant for about £1 but this is for your health, you’d pay it. The smell of this is absolutely amazing, the lavender scent is so strong. It is easy to apply with my disability, easy and hygienic to carry about, but it left marks on my clothes and didn’t work at all I am afraid. I smelt worse at the end of the day wearing this, on the days I have went without any deodorant.

Salt of the Earth Pure Aura Lavender & Vanilla Natural Deodorant
£5.99 for 100ml seems a lot, but this stuff lasts ages! It smells absolutely unreal, leaves no marks on my clothes, and the best bit IT WORKS. I mean, it isn’t an anti perspirant (most natural deodorants aren’t due to the chemicals that stop you sweating), so I have experienced the tiniest bit of moisture, no more so than a regular can of aerosol deodorant, I haven’t noticed that I’ve been smelly yet once while using this, I’ve had no wet patches on my clothes or any issues with it at all. One to two puffs per armpit absolutely will suffice, I am running out of this bottle now after a good couple months or more of using this. I didn’t realise it is sold in stick form too, I will purchase that next time as spray bottles I always find difficult to really get the last of the product out.
