Aside from not loving the smell, I actually really enjoyed using this face mask. It left my skin exfoliated and moisturised all at once. Avocado is really hydrating, the texture itself is kind of oily mush to the touch ha! Combined with some oats, you can get the benefits of exfoliating dead skin off and replenishing moisture all at once, whilst the turmeric is good for treating dark spots and give skin a brighter appearance.

Mash 1/2 an avocado with 4/5 tablespoons of oats and a dash of turmeric Apply to the skin, leave to sit for ten minutes, massage into the skin and then rinse!

Facial Toner.

Mmm orange, ZINGY. One of my favourite ever products was the Vitamin C facial mist from The Body Shop. I can’t decipher if it’s a clean product, so I haven’t purchased it in so long -but I need my zingy orange face fix! Let’s make an orange peel facial toner – you can just use this as you would a regular toner with a cotton pad. The cotton pads I use are reusable bamboo ones, I’ll link a review of those below.

Boil the peel of one large orange with a cup of water. Drain the mix through a strainer and allow it to cool before bottling. This will be good for about a week or two if you keep it chilled.

Another shout out to The Body Shop, I LIVED for Saturdays shopping here between the ages of about 7-12. I felt so grown up, all fruity and fabulous. I adored all the coconut range, the banana range, the potted lip balms, and remember them weird pearlescent bath balls? This banana and coconut oil mask will bring back all the memories, and leave your scalp nourished and moisturised, your hair will be super shiny and glossy. You can leave this on for about 10 minutes or longer if you like.

Mash one really ripe banana with 3/4 tablespoons of melted coconut oil, then apply to your hair and relax.
